Registration Tutorial


This tutorial will walk through the process of registering as a vol.

You can use the arrows on the bottom right of the screen or the space bar to move between pages.

Navigate to Registration

From the main page, click the “Sign Up” button to begin your registration.

Now locate the “Vols” section and click the “Sign up” button.

Member Registration Page

Once you’re on the Member Registration page, you are able to enter your account information.

First, type your full name in the "First Name" and "Last Name" fields.

Next, you will need to set your username and password for the site.

This is what you will need to provide next time you want to log in, so it’s important that they are both memorable.

Start by entering a name in the “Username” field.

This must be between 3 and 46 characters.

Next, in the “Password” field, enter a password that is 8 characters or more.

Next, you’ll provide a valid university-provided email address for your account in the “Email” field.

You can select your year in school from the drop-down under "School Year".

Finally, specify how you heard about the site by selecting one of the options from the "How Did You Hear About This Site?" drop-down.

Housing Options Section

Here you can select your move-in date.

(Press down arrow for details. Press right arrow to skip.)

First, select a month from the drop-down under "Approximate Move-In Date".

Then, select a year from the drop-down under "Move-In Year".

Contact Options and Terms of Service

Now, you can move on to the questions in the “Contact Options” section.

First, decide whether you want to receive emails about site updates.

If that sounds fine, leave “Yes” selected. Otherwise, select "No".

If you’re interested in special offers from marketing partners, you can leave "Yes" selected for that question

If you're not interested, select “No".

Finally, in the “Terms of Service” section, you can read the “Terms of Use” by clicking on the link provided.

Then, check the box to agree to the Terms of Use before moving forward.

Once you've completed everything on the page, you can click the “Register” button, which will bring you to your account page.

At this point, you have successfully registered for a student account.

From your account page, you can add new listings, view your profile, and manage or edit your account and subscription information.
